Our international Client, a leading automotive supplier, ca. 100 km south from Frankfurt is looking for a Business Unit Controller

Main Function:

• responsible for all aspects of financial management for segment, for ensuring compliance with the finance strategy, management reporting and financial management of the segment as set out by the VP Finance and for leading and developing the segments finance
• support the VP Operations with other members of the Senior Management team in delivering the business expectations for the segment
• providing meaningful analysis on P&L and key BS items on actual and forecast via variance analysis, recommendation of improvements
• preparing monthly forecasts
• support plants in preparing for the monthly plant manager meeting
• develop profit improvement plans (roadmaps) together with plants and VP operations
• develop strategic projects
• Drive the development of business plans on an annual basis
• ensure compliance with local and US financial and accounting rules and in particular SOX
• as a key member of the segments senior team, you will be expected to play a lead and co-ordinating role in pulling together all the key functions, under the continuous improvement banner and bring a new and different level of thinking through the financial function

• Degree in Finance or Economics with at least 5 years experience of working within a high volume, automotive manufacturing environment, coupled with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
• Managerial, Technical & administrative skills required - Should be fully conversant with automotive quality tools and systems; these should include QS9000, ISO14001 and TS16949, supported by excellent organisational and communicational skills
• English very good (writing & speaking), another European language favourable
